It was a little less than a month ago that recruiting fans flocked to the internet to see the video produced by Plano (East), Texas five-star inside linebacker Anthony Hines that showed his top 10 schools. Oklahoma State made the cut that included (in order of appearance) TCU, Ohio State, Florida, Texas A&M, Texas, UCLA, Oklahoma, Auburn, SMU, and Oklahoma State.
Today, Hines was on the Oklahoma State campus for an unofficial visit that included a complete tour of the Cowboys West End Zone facilities, a tour of campus, plenty of time with the coaching staff and defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer, and a photo session in Cowboy gear that appeared on his Twitter account (@TheAntHines_Era).
The photos that included one of Hines, his father, and OSU defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer were accompanied with the text, "OSU was (two flaming emoji)!!! Had a great time. #GoPokes."
Hines was also introduced to Oklahoma State Viice President Kyle Wray and spent time speaking with him about the school and campus.
Now, it was obvious that Hines stopped in Norman on his way home as he also tweeted pictures from his stop there and the text, "Great time at OU today. #BoomerSooner."
Hines is a 6-3, 225-pound inside linebacker who has 4.5 speed and is both very mobile and very physical. Both those attributes show up early and often in just about any game tape you watch of his high school career. He is a definite game changer for the school that lands him.
Last season he had an almost ridiculous 204 total tackles with 24 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks. He puts up almost video game numbers and that is why he is a) a 5-star recruit and b) had offers from over 60 schools. He is literally one of those prospects that can pick his school.
