Future Cowboys: Greenwood, Hubbard Star Again

Shamond Greenwood and Chuba Hubbard (pictured above) had big games for their respective teams, and Jelani Woods accounted for all four of his squad’s touchdowns. It was another outstanding week for future OSU Cowboys. Here’s a quick look at how all of OSU’s commits performed in this past week’s games.

The Skinny: Bixby captured its first win of the season with a 56-20 victory over Putnam City on Friday night.

The Skinny: Greenwood continued his outstanding season Thursday night by catching six passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns (36 and 24 yards) to help Garland Lakeview Centennial to a 42-7 victory over Frisco Centennial. Here's a link to photos by Scout's Greg Powers from the game. Through four games, Greenwood has 20 catches for 459 yards (22.95-yard average) and seven touchdowns.

The Skinny: Hubbard rushed for a season-best 249 yards on 23 carries and one touchdown in helping his Bev Facey team to a 32-14 victory over Henry Wisewood on Saturday. He also caught one pass for 19 yards. Through four games, Hubbard has 773 rushing yards on 56 carries (13.8 yards per attempt) with seven touchdowns, and has caught three passes for 43 yards and two TDs.

The Skinny: Johnson and his Arlington Bowie teammates had a bye week, and return to action this Friday against Arlington Martin.

The Skinny: The Reagan Rattlers improved to 3-1 with Friday night’s 27-14 victory over Buda Hays.

The Skinny: Fitzgerald rolled to a 41-14 victory over Rockdale County on Friday night.

The Skinny: Oologah continues to look like one of the best teams in Class 4A as the Mustangs defeated Glenpool 54-7 on Friday night.

The Skinny: Hendrickson suffered a 50-7 loss to Lake Travis on Friday night.

The Skinny: Dallas Christian scored 50 points in the first half and cruised to a 57-8 victory over Gateway Charter Academy on Friday night.

The Skinny: Merchant was one of several defensive players who starred in A&M Consolidated’s 33-14 victory over The Woodlands College Park on Thursday night.

The Skinny: Keller’s fourth down attempt from the 1-yard line in the game’s final minutes was stopped short of the goal-line and Midland held on for a 24-21 victory on Friday night. Keller is now 0-4.

The Skinny: West Brook improved to 4-0 by scoring a late touchdown to defeat Houston St. Thomas 28-20 on Friday night.

The Skinny: Morton caught five passes for 55 yards but did not score a touchdown for the first time this season and Gilmer’s 23-game regular season winning streak was snapped as Carthage won 55-37 on Saturday.

The Skinny: Tracin Wallace will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL – for the second time in two years – in the second game of the season. Before suffering the injury, Tracin was 19-of-29 passing for 333 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, and he had rushed for 209 yards on 20 carries (10.45 yards per attempt) with three touchdowns.

The Skinny: Tylan Wallace and his South Hills teammates will return to action Thursday night after a bye week. For the season, he has 15 catches for 260 yards (17.3 yards per reception) with three touchdowns in three games.

The Skinny: Woods accounted for all four touchdowns as third-ranked Class AAA Cedar Grove defeated fifth-ranked Lovett 28-21 on Friday night. Woods ran for three touchdowns (1, 1 and 8 yards) and also threw a 42-yard scoring pass. To top it off, he scored the two-point conversion after the TD pass. Woods was 3 of 11 passing for 82 yards.
