Mike Gundy was in his first year as the quarterbacks coach at the University of Maryland and Charlie Strong was coaching the defensive line at Notre Dame the last time the Oklahoma State Cowboys beat the Texas Longhorns in Stillwater. It was 1997, when the Cowboys beat the Longhorns 42-16 at what was then known as Lewis Stadium.
Since then, the Longhorns have won eight consecutive games in Stillwater, including five in a row since Mike Gundy took over the program in 2005. Gundy is 4-7 overall against Texas, including last season's 30-27 win in Austin on Ben Grogan's 40-yard field goal in the final seconds.
If Gundy's team is going to end the eight-game losing streak to the Longhorns inside Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday who are the "Critical Cowboys" that will be counted on when the game kicks off at 11 a.m.?
GoPokes.com's Robert Allen, Austin Iven and Terry Tush discuss who they believe will be the "Critical Cowboy" for the game. Who did they pick for Saturday's game? Let's find out.
