Future Cowboys: Ready For The Playoffs

Here’s a quick look at how all of Oklahoma State's commits performed in this past week’s games.
The Skinny: Bixby won its fifth game in a row with Friday night’s 35-19 victory over Sand Springs. Evers and the Spartans, 7-3, enter the playoffs looking to win their third consecutive Class 6AII state championship.

Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Putnam City West in quarterfinal playoff game in Oklahoma Class 6AII playoffs.
The Skinny: Greenwood (pictured above) caught eight passes for 80 yards and one touchdown as Garland Lakeview Centennial defeated Garland Naaman Forest 23-17 on Friday night. His 11-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter gave the Patriots a 7-0 lead. In 10 regular season games, Greenwood caught 52 passes for 949 yards (18.3-yard average) and 15 touchdowns.

Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Lake Highlands, in Texas Class 6A-Division II bi-district playoff game.
The Skinny: Hubbard played sparingly in Bev Facey’s 43-0 victory over Salisbury Comp in the divisional round of Provincial playoffs. He ran for 55 yards and a touchdown on five carries as the second-ranked Falcons improved to 11-0. For the season, he has 1,790 yards on 123 carries (14.6-yard average) and 18 touchdowns. Hubbard was recently presented the Halliburton Trophy given to the Carr League MVP. 

Next: Saturday, Nov. 12, vs. Bellerose in the Provincial quarterfinals.
The Skinny: Johnson caught four passes for a season-high 153 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday night’s 51-7 victory over Fort Worth Paschal. He caught touchdown passes of 64 and 67 yards as the Volunteers improved to 8-2 entering the playoffs. For the season, Johnson has 32 catches for 599 yards (18.7-yard average) and eight touchdowns. Johnson has scored three different ways – punt return, kickoff return and pass receiving – this season.

Next: Thursday, Nov. 10, vs. Keller Central in Texas Class 6A-Division I bi-district playoff game.
The Skinny: Kerstetter and his Reagan Rattler teammates wrapped up the regular season with a 49-21 victory over San Antonio Roosevelt. The Rattlers, 9-1, improved their district winning streak to 24 games with the win.
Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Austin Westlake in Texas Class 6A-Division I bi-district playoff game.
The Skinny: A week after surpassing 5,000 career rushing yards, King ran for 121 yards on 20 carries in helping second-ranked Class 2A Fitzgerald to a 33-20 victory over Thomasville. He now has 1,182 rushing yards this season for the Purple Hurricane.
Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Dublin (8-2) in Georgia Class 2A first-round playoff game.
The Skinny: Martin and his teammates sewed up second place in District 4A-3 to secure a first-round home playoff game with a 42-14 victory over Tulsa Cascia Hall. Entering the game, Martin had 81 tackles and nine sacks on the season. Martin’s career numbers are impressive with 366 tackles and 42 sacks.

The Skinny: Dallas Christian put the finishing touches on a perfect regular season (10-0) with Friday night’s 62-27 victory over Cedar Hill Trinity Christian.
Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Southwest Christian (5-5) in Texas TAPPS Division II first-round playoff game.
The Skinny: Merchant scored one of A&M Consolidated’s three special-teams touchdowns as the OSU commit blocked a punt and returned it eight yards for a score in a 59-20 victory over Rudder in the regular season finale. A&M Consolidated enters the playoffs with a 6-3 record.

The Skinny: West Brook improved to 9-1 entering the playoffs with Friday night’s 48-19 victory over Conroe.
Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Longview (8-2) in Texas Class 6A-Division II bi-district playoff game.
The Skinny: Morton caught four passes for 126 yards, including TD receptions of 41 and 72 yards, in Gilmer’s 51-35 victory over Pittsburg. For the season, Morton has 44 catches for 926 yards (21.0-yard average) and nine touchdowns.

The Skinny: Mwaniki caught two passes for 25 yards in Friday night’s 30-10 win over Plano West. The Wildcats improve to 8-2 entering the playoffs.
Dallas News: Wildcats whip West despite Mason injury
Next: Friday, Nov. 11, vs. Trophy Club Nelson (4-6) in Texas Class 6A-Division I bi-district playoff game.
The Skinny: Vaughn capped his high school playing career with a three-touchdown performance in helping Forney to a 34-19 victory over North Forney. Vaughn finished with four catches for 86 yards, including touchdown receptions of 9 and 38 yards, and added a 5-yard scoring run on his only carry. The Forney Jackrabbits finish the season with a 4-6 record. Vaughn completes the season with a team-best 27 catches for 518 yards (19.2-yard average) and six touchdowns.
The Skinny: Tracin Wallace will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL – for the second time in two years – in the second game of the season. Before suffering the injury, Tracin was 19-of-29 passing for 333 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, and he had rushed for 209 yards on 20 carries (10.45 yards per attempt) with three touchdowns.
The Skinny: Tylan Wallace caught two passes for 58 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, to help Fort Worth South Hills wrap up a perfect 10-0 regular season with Thursday night’s 34-7 victory over Fort Worth Wyatt. For the season, Tylan has 47 catches for 808 yards (17.2-yard average) with 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 137 yards on 12 carries (11.4-yard average) and two TDs, and also had a 60-yard interception return for a TD.

The Skinny: Woods was 11-of-15 passing for 216 yards and four touchdowns in leading sixth-ranked Class 2A Cedar Grove to a 47-7 victory over Redan.

The Skinny: Sanders was 12-of-19 passing for 296 yards and three touchdowns while also scoring on a 33-yard run as Denton Ryan improved to 10-0 with a 38-14 victory over Wichita Falls Rider. Sanders threw first-half touchdown passes of 54, 24 and 32 yards, and also ran for a TD as the Raiders took a 38-0 halftime lead. For the season, Sanders is 156 of 240 passing for 2,375 yards with 32 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also leads the Raiders with 668 rushing yards on 106 carries (6.3-yard average) with 14 TDs.
