Hill, Carson Lead Cowboys Running Attack

Freshman Justice Hill and senior Chris Carson combined to rush for 199 yards and three touchdowns as the Oklahoma State run game looked as good as it has all season in Saturday's win over Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State ran for a season-best 5.5 yards per carry Saturday against Texas Tech, and having a balanced attack makes everything easier for offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and quarterback Mason Rudolph.

Running back Justice Hill led the Cowboys running attack with 126 rushing yards on 18 carries (7.0-yard average), and became the first freshman in school history to surpass the 100-yard rushing mark. The freshman from Tulsa's Booker T. Washington High School now has 789 rushing yards (fourth most by a freshman in school history) and is just 172 yards shy of Mike Hamilton's school record of 961.

Senior Chris Carson ran for 73 yards and two touchdowns – including an impressive 19-yard scoring run midway through the third period – as the Cowboys rushed for 210 yards on 38 carries.
