OSU's Coaches Hit The Road

Oklahoma State's coaching staff hit the road to do some recruiting after the final game of the regular season.

Following the end of the regular season on Saturday and with the players involved in final exams this week at Oklahoma State, the Cowboys coaching staff went on the road recruiting.

As you will read in our Alamo Bowl story, defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer subbed for head coach Mike Gundy on the Alamo Bowl conference call and team announcement as Spencer actually is familiar with Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre as the two played close to the same time at Georgia Tech.

Gundy was on a plane to Houston as he was on the road recruiting and hit the home of Blinn College safety  Corrion Ballard and will also visit Gilmer High School cornerback LaMarcus Morton.

Ballard is visiting this coming weekend and Morton would have but Gilmer is in the semifinals in Class 4A-Region 2 against Sweetwater on Friday night in Waco, Texas. Morton is a commitment scheduled to enroll at mid-year and Ballard is trying to make a decision as he will also be enrolling at mid-year and signing on the Dec. 14 junior college signing day.

Other Oklahoma State coaches are spread out all over the country, and I would guess even in Canada as running back Chuba Hubbard is a must see up in the Edmonton area in Alberta.
