Bringing back memories of Brodrick Brown and the "Bulldog" mystique is Thibodaux, La. cornerback Amik Robertson. The one-time Louisiana Tech commitment is picking up plenty of recruiting steam as Robertson this week was offered by LSU and he also received an offer from Oklahoma State.
The 5-9, 165-pound cornerback was scheduled to visit Louisiana Tech this weekend, and could sneak in a visit to Baton Rouge and LSU. He is scheduled to visit Oklahoma State next weekend as part of the Cowboys huge recruiting visit weekend.
"I am going to have to speak with my family on where to go from here," Robertson told the New Orleans Times-Picayune and NOLA.com. "I want to visit all three programs, but only have two weekends to do it. I understand that programs can do mid-week visits, but I don't want them to have to cram their schedule for that. I don't think that's right. I will sit with my family and discuss what would be the best options for me."
The LSU offer came this week when Tigers defensive backs coach Corey Raymond made an in-home visit on Thursday when recruiting opened back up from the dead period.
"He has been saying that I could play nickel, safety and get some work in the return game," Robertson said to the newspaper and website. "A similar role to the Honey Badger to be honest. Nothing is given, everything is earned. If LSU ends up being my decision, I'm looking forward to competing and earning it. None of that stuff really matters to me. I feel like I'm the best and it will all show in time."
It will be interesting to see now on how Robertson schedules those visits.
