Briefly: McCune may be the steal of the class as Oklahoma State identified him early. He played both ways in high school and really excelled. Another player that J.J. McCleskey had in the Blue-Gray High School All-Star Game and McCleskey said he intentionally put him up against the best receivers all week in practice and McCune stopped 80 percent of the balls thrown at him.

Other Offers: Texas Tech and Kansas.

High School: McCune was named 1st-Team All-State TAPPS Division II and 1st-Team All-District 2-TAPPS Division II as a defensive back. The Dallas Morning News has him on their Area Top 100 list. He was also the Defensive MVP in the Blue-Gray High School All-Star Game at AT&T Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Scout ranks him as a three-star prospect and the 93rd-best cornerback prospect in the nation, 15th in the Midlands, and 12th in Texas.
