Briefly: He was outstanding in high school and came out well regarded and highly recruited. He did not play much at Michigan State, so the question is does he have game. He has size and certainly looks the part.

Junior College: Used this year as an academic year.
Michigan State: He red-shirted his first season at MSU. Made appearances as a red-shirt freshman against Air Force, Maryland, and Penn State. He had his first tackle against Maryland.
High School: He was a three-star prospect coming out of high school by Scout and was ranked as the 30th-best defensive tackle prospect. He helped Mt. Carmel to back-to-back state championships and as a senior had 48 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, He was second-team All-State with The Chicago Tribune, Northeast Times of Indiana 1st-Team All-Area Team, and 1st-Team All-Catholic League. He played on the 2014 Under 19 USA Football National Team that defeated Canada. He was named the Player of the Game after making five sacks in the South Bay West Coast Bowl All-Star Game in Redondo Beach, Calif. In high school, he was offered by Arizona, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
