Recruiting: What Does OSU Need In 2018?

Oklahoma State already has commitments from quarterback Spencer Sanders and linebacker Blake Barron for 2018, so what are the Cowboys needs and who are the top targets for the next recruiting class?

Okay, going over the roster as it stands now, the 2017 recruiting class and the talent obtained and needs filled, and what the make-up appears to need to be for the 2018 recruiting class and the two commitments already in that class, we have an early look at what Oklahoma State will be looking for in the 2018 recruiting cycles, which hopefully with legislation being passed this spring could start seeing answers with late spring and early summer official visits and an early (not early enough) signing day in December of 2017, along with February 7, 2018.

The Cowboys have a bigger head start as they had two commitments for the 2018 class before last week's 2017 signing day. There are many more targets on the Oklahoma State prospect list for 2018, which I would guess right now stands somewhere around 150 serious prospects that are offered or close to offers, but likely numbers around 500 to 600 on players that they hope to learn more about or personally evaluate and check out during the offseason and the spring evaluation four weeks that coaching staffs, minus the head coach, get on the road after spring football.
