(Thanks to Sam Lockett of NFL Draft Radio for this report.)
Seales started strong, with a 41.5” vertical jump and was over 6’0” and more than 200lbs. He also had a 10’3” broad jump. Both jumps were among the best of the day and his vertical would have been 2nd best of all receivers at the combine. He keep the pace going with a blazing 4.38 40 time on my clock. I talked with other scouts that had him in the low 4.4’s and the high 4.3’s as low as 4.36. His 4.38 would have also been good enough for a top 5 finish among receivers at the combine. He also had the best 20 and 60 yard shuttle of the day with a 4.25 in the short and a 11.53 in the long. He would have also finished 2nd among receivers at the combine on the bench with 20 reps of 225lbs.
Jhajuan also had some fantastic moments on the field during receiver drills. He showed good hands and was crisp running routes throughout the day. I talked with three different scouts about his performance and had good comments about his performances today. One told me “I knew he was fast, but he was a little bigger than I thought, and stronger. Great day for him no doubt. He’s a draftedable guy for us”.
