Jordan not getting a combine invite was a shock to many scouts and today he show why he should have been there. The 1st team all big 12 safety had a strong showing in the weight room with a 36” vertical, 10’1” broad, and 15 bench reps. He was 5’11” 198lbs and looked very good during the peacocking having one scout say “He looks the part no doubt”. He ran well with a 4.58 40 and the best cone time of the day with a 6.90. “Sterns is not a burner, but fast enough and he is a strong and smart football player”.
He showed great instinct during all the drills and impressed scouts with his fluidity and quickness. “He’s got, hands, feet, hips, brain, and skills”. He had several teams taking notes during his workouts (a key giveaway in showing interest) and talking with him after the workout. He had meetings with at least one team after the pro day. A scout told me “I can’t say much, but I’ll say this, he’s a top 10 safety for us and a hell of a player”. Sterns told me “I had fun, and I think I performed well. A lot of these guys (meaning the scouts) have been talking to me and it’s good”.
