Tyler Lacy and his family weren't the only ones making an unofficial visit this weekend. The defensive end from Sachse, Texas visited with his family on Saturday. On Friday, Oklahoma City McGuinness offensive tackle Owen Condon, one of the best in the state, visited with his family. The main reason for the visit was that Condon, who has been to Oklahoma State several times for practice and to meet with the coaching staff and especially new offensive line coach Josh Henson, had not been able to come up with his father.
The Condons toured the football facilities, toured the campus, met with Head coach Mike Gundy and with OSU President Burns Hargis on Friday. They, of course, spent plenty of time and even took a picture with Henson.
Condon, a left tackle for McGuinness. is 6-7, 300 pounds and plays several sports including being a starter in basketball. He has scholarship offers from a bunch of schools recently adding Harvard to go with Princeton from the Ivy League. He also has offers from Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Georgia, Arkansas State, Arizona State. Iowa State, Kansas, Louisiana-Monroe, Ohio, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, and Washington State.
Condon did not make a verbal commitment, but the family did look happy on the visit and he did express his thanks on Twitter.
