Recruiting 2018: Lacy Has Good Visit

Another standout Texas prospect made it up to Stillwater for an unofficial visit on the weekend. Sachse defensive end Tyler Lacy was right back just two weeks after receiving a scholarship offer at the spring game.

Tyler Lacy, a defensive end from Sachse, Texas was back on the Oklahoma State campus today with his mom, dad, and sister for an unofficial visit. The 6-4, 238 pound Lacy was at the Oklahoma State spring game and on that weekend we reported he received a scholarship offer from the Cowboys staff. Lacy and his family felt so strong about that offer that they made a trip back to Stillwater today.

They arrived a little before noon and met with head coach Mike Gundy before going on a tour as a family of the football facilities and the Oklahoma State campus and then also spending time with Oklahoma State defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements. They did a little souvenir shopping and also ate at Eskimo Joes before leaving town.

"It went really well," Lacy said of the visit. We toured the campus and I got to meet with the academic advisor and then we met with Coach Gundy and with Coach Clements."

Lacy is an athletic defensive end with sub 4.8 speed for a big frame. Last season at Sachse, he had 34 total tackles, but 6.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also has scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Colorado State, UConn, SMU, Houston, North Texas, and Texas Tech among others. He is also being recruited by TCU and Texas.
