Incoming Oklahoma State freshman, Tylan Wallace, recorded a personal best 49 feet 11 inches in the 2017 UIL Texas State track and field meet that earned him a second place finish.
Jalen Seals from Ft. Worth Boswell finished ahead of Wallace with a jump of 50 feet 2 inches.
Wallace, a 5'11.5" receiver out of South Hills High School in Ft. Worth, is the number 8 ranked receiver out of the state of Texas in the 2017 class and ranks 191 in the Scout 300. As a senior, he caught 56 passes for 933 yards and 12 touchdowns. Wallace also rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on just 16 carries. His junior season he was a 1st-Team All-State and District 7-5A Offensive MVP with 59 receptions for 1,439 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also carried 14 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns. His sophomore and freshman seasons he combined for 1,388 yards receiving and 240 yards rushing. His career totals are 182 receptions for 3,760 yards and 48 touchdowns.
