Pics Look Good, Humphrey Calls Visit Good

Saturday the Oklahoma State football and recruiting staff showed around a pretty important unofficial visitor in mammoth defensive tackle Tayland Humphrey of Hutchinson C.C., but originally from the Houston area. Humphrey could be a major difference maker in just about any school's defense.

Judging by the pictures on the internet and on Twitter at Tayland Humphrey's address, @Big_Saucy_, the unofficial visit on Saturday went well with Hutchinson Community College and former Klein Oak (Spring, Texas) High School defensive tackle Tayland Humphrey.

"Great Oklahoma State visit, #GoPokes," was the posting along with photos on the Twitter site for Humphrey.

This was a major visit for the Oklahoma State defensive staff as defensive tackle is such a vital position and Oklahoma State sometimes has had to get creative in getting really talented defensive tackles in their recruiting class or simply had to develop them beyond what many thought was possible when they were recruited.

Humphrey is a 6-5, 350 pound dominating presence inside on the defensive line that as a freshman registered 32 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and caused a fumble. He is a monster combination of size, strength, and for his size, quickness. He has offers from all over including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, OU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. There are a lot more. During his break from Hutch in May he made unofficial visits to Houston and Texas A&M. He has not made a lot of those and he did to Oklahoma State which is always a key in the Cowboys recruiting strategy.

Humphrey is visited with current Klein Oak senior offensive guard John Bolding, III (his younger brother) and current Hutchinson C.C. quarterback Chris James.

Humphrey also recently posted on his Twitter account, @Big_Saucy_, "Like I said: The only schools that I'm going to take official visits to are schools that offer me and my little brother."

Bolding, III is 6-3, 291 pounds and has an offer from Stephen F. Austin.

James is a 6-2, 223 pound sophomore at quarterback that is also looking for a four-year college home after the upcoming season.
