Reid's Mother Says: It's Focus On Football

A lot is being reported on the recruiting of Oklahoma State commitment and standout Galena Park North Shore quarterback Bobby Reid. Reid's mother says the reporting can go on, but her son is not talking recruiting right now, but instead focusing on the semifinal game this Saturday at the Alamodome against Austin Westlake.

"He's sleeping right now, and we are trying to keep him from talking to anybody on the phone or doing anything other than focusing on the game," said Reid's Mother. "This is very important to him and his teammates, and I told him can go hang out with the boys all he wants later, but right now he needs to just focus on what's ahead." Reid's mother confirmed that he is still committed to Oklahoma State, he is still set to enroll for the spring semester, but he will worry more about that and any other coaches that want to try and talk to him about recruiting when the season is over.

North Shore plays Austin Westlake on Saturday and then could play the 5A Division I State Championship game near home.

"I talked to Coach Aymond earlier this week and he told me that if The Woodlands beats Arlington Lamar (other semifinal) then we would play the game at Reliant Stadium, but if Lamar wins we will have to travel, either Austin, College Station, or Waco."

In the meantime, no news should be considered good news for OSU fans as Reid works toward a high school quarterback's dream in Texas.
