Hanson and Flemings committed to being Cowboys

Oklahoma State picked up an important victory over Texas Tech on Jan. 31. The Cowboys also picked up a pair of players that night. Antonio Hanson, a 6-foot-2 guard from Liberal, Kan., and Roderick Flemings, a 6-6 small forward from DeSoto, Texas, attended OSU's 70-66 triumph over the Red Raiders, and in consecutive weeks afterwards offered their verbal commitments to the Cowboys.

Both players are left-handed, and both are juniors who say they'll sign a letter of intent during the early signing period in November. Antonio Hanson averages about 18 points per game, shoots better than 50 percent from the field and hits more than 90 percent from the free throw line. "I thought about waiting," Hanson was quoted in the Hutchinson (Kan.) News, "but it seemed like the best place for me."

Roderick Flemings averages about 14 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season. He scored in double figures in 26 of DeSoto's first 34 games. Fleming acknowledges that other schools "are just going to come harder" between now and November, but said, "I'll listen to them for a while, but no. I'm solid."
