RUSSELL BRORSEN-Stillwater

Defensive end

6-4, 220, 4.6

Brorsen is a two-sport standout for Stillwater. Aside from his football exploits, which have him being recruited by both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, Brorsen placed third at 215 pounds at the Class 5A wrestling state championships in February. That the Pioneers star did so well on the mat should come as no surprise. He got plenty of practice wrestling quarterbacks to the ground during football season.

Russell Brorsen led Class 6A in sacks with 14 1/2. Still, he isn't merely a pass-rusher, having logged 107 tackles as a junior — a staggering total from the defensive end position.

"I chase the ball pretty well all over the play," said Brorsen. "I get pressure on the quarterback when I need to, but that's not all I do every play. I go make tackles wherever the ball is."

Brorsen has already visited OU and will soon attend Junior Day at OSU. Nonetheless, no decisions have been made as of yet.

"It's still pretty wide open," said Brorsen of his college selection. "I've enjoyed the recruiting process so far and I'd like to have the chance to go travel some and see other schools."

Brorsen, who has started since he was a sophomore, helped Stillwater to a 7-4 record last season. He also plays a tight end on occasion and fullback in goal-line situations.
