ZACH CASEY-Top 20 Junior

ZACH CASEY Jenks Defensive tackle 6-1, 280, 5.1

After breaking his ankle in the regular season finale, Casey was unable to participate in Jenks' run to the Class 6A state championship. Nevertheless, the junior played a big part in the Trojans' title season. Regularly double-teamed, Casey recorded 16 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and had a fumble recovery.

"Zach kind of reminds me of (former Jenks standout DT) Jason Lohr, who started for Nebraska," said Jenks coach Allan Trimble. "He's compact, quick and hard to block one on one. And he's very intense." Casey hasn't committed to a school yet, but one school is the runaway favorite.

"I hope to go to OU," he said. While Casey's stats are not eye-popping, he knows that comes with the position.

"As long as I do my job and disrupt the play, it doesn't matter if I get credit for it."

Trimble says Casey's best is yet to come.

"He carries 280 pounds with ease. He could be a 295-pound kid in college," said Trimble. "His upside is tremendous."
