OSU Recruiting List - QB & Running Backs

Tonight we start a series that will run exclusively on the O-State Sports Report Premium Board throughout the summer. We will first, give you lists by position of players that Oklahoma State is actively recruiting and interested in. These lists will surely be missing a name or two, but they will all be confirmed Cowboy prospects. Many of them will be coming to one of the Oklahoma State camps. A large number, most in school history, will be attending the primary three day camp from June 4-6.

Following our run through the positions, we will begin profiling the most likely prospects to sign or go down to the wire with Oklahoma State. These profiles will include an anticipated large number of summer commitments. When we say large, we anticipate OSU will have close to double digit commitments. We will report on these commitments as soon as we learn them and place those profiles first.

We start with quarterback, that's right, one. Oklahoma State has five scholarship quarterbacks on campus right now, and that doesn't include Josh Fields, who could return or go to pro baseball after the Major League Amatuer Draft. With a large number of quarterbacks, OSU may choose not to sign a quarterback in this class. They are interested in Chance Daniel, and they are recruiting quarterbacks that play other positions. This could change, but right now quarterback is not a primary recruiting concern.

Therefore, we also include running backs. The Cowboys are in on a large number. Some of the players listed are fullback prospects. The head of the class is Houston Westside standout R.J. Jackson. Head coach Les Miles was in Houston the first week the staff was on the road to see Jackson practice in person along with assistant and star recruiter Joe DeForest. Jackson has been offered and OSU is high on his list. Other Texans very high on the OSU list include Keenan Clayton of Sulphur Springs, Cody Glenn of Rusk, Henry Melton of Grapevine, Kestahn Moore or Arlington Mansfield-Summit, Terrius Purvey of Gainesville, and Corey Robertson of Denison, and Roddrick Muckelroy of Hallsville. There are good prospects in state in Deji Karim or Putnam City North, Felix Jones of Tulsa Washington, Da'Marean Pullen of Putnam City, and Grald Jones of Pawnee.

Thursday night we will release tight ends, of which OSU is on a bunch of big timers, and wide receivers. Remember Tevin Williams? He's bigger and better than ever.
