The Cowboys finished fourth in the conference standings and will take on fifth seeded Texas A&M on Wednesday at 5 p.m. If OSU wins, they will take on the winner of the Texas/Nebraska game on Thursday at 8 p.m. If OSU loses against the Aggies, they will face the loser of the UT/NU game on Thursday at 5 p.m. A complete tournament bracket can be found on the back of this production.

About Texas A&M
Texas A&M is 39-17 overall and 14-12 in league play after dropping two of three to rival Texas over the weekend. The Aggies are batting .301 as a team and sport a team ERA of 3.94 entering the tournament. Cory Patton is the top offensive performer for A&M, batting .352 with 10 homers and 63 RBIs. Junior southpaw Zach Jackson is the ace of the staff, sporting a 10-4 record with a 3.40 ERA. Texas won the Big 12 regular season crown after taking two of three from Texas A&M last weekend. The Longhorns are 48-11 overall and 19-7 in Big 12 action and will take on eighth seeded Nebraska Wednesday at 8 p.m. Curtis Thigpen is the top offensive performer for Texas with a .356 batting average to go along with four homers and 37 RBIs on the year. The Longhorns as a team are ninth in the Big 12 with a .280 average. Pitching is the strength of the Texas squad, as UT leads the conference with a 2.56 team ERA. Junior southpaw J.P. Howell is the ace of the staff, with a 12-2 record and 1.94 ERA. He has struck out 130 batters in 106.2 innings this year. Huston Street is the relief ace, sporting a 4-1 record with a 1.60 ERA to go along with a league best 10 saves. 2004 Series Results: Texas won two out of three against OSU in Austin (March 26-28) ... UT won the first game 8-4, and the Cowboys won the second game 3-2 in 10 innings before Texas clinched the series with an 11-3 win on Sunday ... Nebraska went from a first place finish in 2003 to an eighth place showing in 2004 after dropping two of three to Oklahoma over the weekend in Lincoln. The Huskers finished the year 35-21 overall and 11-16 in conference play. NU opened the year at 5-1 with series wins over Kansas and Kansas State, but then went 6-15 in losing the last seven conference series of the year. Third baseman Alex Gordon has had a sensational season, leading the team with a .369 average to go along with 17 homers and 72 RBIs. Nebraska is hitting .286 as a team, while playing sparkling defense with a .975 fielding percentage. Zach Kroenke is the staff ace, sporting a 7-4 record with a 3.07 ERA.
