Andre Sexton Commits To Oklahoma State

Add the name of Houston Cypress Falls safety Andre Sexton to the list of Cowboy football recruiting commitments. Sexton committed to OSU after a weekend visit with his father. Sexton was a first team All District choice last season and was named second team All Greater Houston.

Andrew Sexton had 52 solo tackles as a junior with 31 assisted tackles. He also had two interceptions, caused two fumbles, and blocked a punt. The 6-1, 190 pounder has been clocked at 4.38 in the forty. He was recruited by Wisconsin, Arizona State, Houston, Kansas, Vanderbilt, and Tulsa.

"I really like where the program is heading, and I always wanted to play in the Big 12," said Sexton of the reasons for his decision.

"On the trip with my dad, I thought it was a great place. I liked the facilities, and I like the small town atmosphere. The people were so nice."

Sexton said he knew of Robert Reid and some of the other Houston-area players, but really didn't know them. He was sold on the school and said he looks forward to his senior season and then heading to Stillwater. He added that he is not going to take any other visits and he is firmly committed to OSU.
