Recruiting Update: Lucas Taylor

Lucas Taylor is a "do everything" quarterback for Lafayette Carencro in Louisiana, but in college he knows he will be changing positions.

"I want to play either wide receiver or defensive back," said Taylor, who is 6-0, 180 pounds, and has 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash.

Last week Taylor and his teammates, which includes OSU commitment Chris Jones at tight end and defensive end, beat St. Thomas More 35-28. Taylor ran for one score and had 161 yards of total offense. He also returned a punt 65 yards and a kickoff 50 yards. He has a pretty good group of schools on his dance card.

"I like Oklahoma State, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida," said Taylor. "They are all pretty even right now, but I did watch Oklahoma State beat UCLA last weekend and they were pretty impressive."

Taylor says he will wait until after the season to take visits and start narrowing his field down to a decision. This week he needs to concentrate on Carencro's next opponent in West Monroe, another Louisiana powerhouse high school.
