Recruiting: Lorenzo Jones

Lorenzo Jones of McKinney, Texas, is another high school defensive tackle that Oklahoma State has offered, but the competition is thick for the underrated lineman. At 6-foot-3, 290 pounds and with 5.0 speed, Jones matches up with many of the defensive tackles getting more ink.

Last week he helped McKinney go to 3-1 on the season in a win over Justin Northwest. Jones had a sack and 14 tackles in the game proving he is very athletic for an inside technique player on the defensive front.

Schools are not missing on Jones as he said he now has offers from OSU, OU, Iowa State, Arizona, Utah, Houston and Louisiana Tech. He is also being recruited by Texas, Colorado, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kansas and Nebraska. He has already set visits with Iowa State (12/3) and Texas (12/10).

"My top three right now are OU, Iowa State and Texas," said Jones. "I'll wait until I decide on my other three visits. I'm looking for a place that wins championships, goes to bowl games and has a great atmosphere. I also want to go to a place where the coaches will treat me fairly."

Right now he is undecided about a major. Football seems to be the deciding factor as he looks for a place that can keep up with this Jones.
