UCLA Win Still Looking Good
Yes, the Bruins won again to move to 3-1 on the season as they beat San Diego State 33-10. Since losing to Oklahoma State 31-20 in the opener, UCLA has defeated Illinois and Washington on the road and then Saturday's win over the Aztecs was back at the Rose Bowl. Not only is the Bruins winning record reflecting well on the Pokes, but the experience of winning on the road at UCLA in the opener comes back as a benefit in going to Colorado this Saturday.
"Each game is a little different even if it's at home," said Miles. "A common feeling for this football team will be confidence. They have had that experience (UCLA) and been successful."

Injury Update
No update really other than Miles revealed that Darrent Williams did have stitches (somewhere between 3-6) to close the cut on his right middle finger that was injured when he caught it on a helmet making a tackle in the first quarter. He came back to play in the game, but could not return punts. Miles said he thought the stitches would come out before the Colorado game and his availability to return punts would be determined before game time.
Miles said there were no other new injuries coming out of the game, at least nothing that would keep anybody from being ready to play against Colorado. Offensive left guard David Koenig and his back injury will be monitored this week as to his availability. Koenig missed the game Saturday and Doug Bond filled in at left guard.
