Tracking the OSU Commitments

Each week during the football season we will compile the statistics from that week's games for each of the Cowboys' verbal commitments. Here is how the future Cowboys performed the weekend of Oct. 1-2.

T.J. Bell, CB (5-11, 180, 4.38), DeSoto, TX
DeSoto, ranked third in the Dallas Morning News' Class 5A area poll, suffered its first loss of the season as Arlington Lamar captured a 16-7 win Saturday night. Next, at Arlington Sam Houston, Oct. 8.

Brady Bond, OL (6-6, 260, 5.0), Garber, OK
Garber (3-2) lost to Morrison 30-14 on Friday night. Next: vs. Oklahoma Bible, Oct. 8.

Jeremy Broadway, WR (6-0, 185, 4.42), Houston (Washington), TX
Washington quarterback Gilbert Mitchell threw for three touchdown passes but none were to Broadway as Washington defeated Westbury 28-0 to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 22-4A play. Next: at Houston Yates, Saturday, Oct. 9.

Gremon Coffman, DB (6-1, 195, 4.4), Duncanville, TX
Coffman scored a pair of touchdowns – on a 49-yard punt return and a 36-yard interception return – as Duncanville improved to 4-1 with the 55-14 victory over Arlington Martin. Next: at Cedar Hill, Oct. 8.

Matt Fodge, K-P (6-0, 180, 4.8), Garland, TX
Fodge had a 41-yard field goal and was perfect on his six extra-point attempts as Garland (4-1) rolled to an easy 52-7 win over Garland Naaman Forest. Next: at South Garland, Oct. 8.
Noah Franklin, OL (6-4, 295, 5.1), Vinita, OK
Vinita, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A, suffered its first loss of the season against Claremore Sequoyah 19-0. Next: vs. Tulsa Cascia Hall, Oct. 8.

Chris Hall, OL (6-5, 280, 5.1), Irving, TX
In a strange twist, the game was started Friday night in Bedford but concluded Saturday at Cowboy Stadium. The game was postponed Friday night by lightning and resumed with 10:46 remaining in the first quarter on Saturday. But none of that helped Irving as Hurst Bell won 28-7. Chris Jones, TE-DE (6-5, 248), Lafayette (Carencro), LA
Carencro (2-2) lost to crosstown rival Lafayette High 35-24 on Friday night. Next: vs. Acadiana, Oct. 8.

T.J. Minor, DE (6-4, 240, 4.9), Houston (Westside), TX
Westside (5-0) recorded its third consecutive second with an easy 42-0 victory over Milby in District 21-5A play. Next: at Bellaire, Oct. 8.

Brent Nickerson, DB (6-0, 180, 4.5), Irving (MacArthur), TX
Irving MacArthur (5-0) posted its first shutout of the season en route to the 42-0 victory over Coppell. MacArthur's defense is ranked second among Dallas-Fort Worth area Class 5A teams. Next: at Irving, Oct. 8.

Josh Pinaire, DT (6-5, 290, 4.7), Hutchinson (Kans.) Community College, Derby, KS
Hutchinson suffered its second loss of the season when Butler (Kans.) Community College scored three times in the final 6:32 en route to a 34-13 victory. Next: at at Dodge City, Oct. 9.

Eric Preast, LB (6-2, 215, 4.6), Sulphur, OK
Sulphur, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, fell behind 7-0 but then scored 35 unanswered points en route to the 35-14 victory over Konawa. Next: vs. Plainview, Oct. 8.

Andre Sexton, DB (6-1, 190, 4.38), Houston (Cypress Falls), TX
Sexton was all over the place in leading Cypress Falls to the 38-7 victory over Cypress Springs. Sexton scored the Eagles' first touchdown on a 16-yard return following a blocked punt and opened the second half with a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Kevin White, RB (6-3, 208, 4.45), DeSoto, TX
White ran for 44 yards on 21 carries at DeSoto suffered its first loss of the season in a 16-7 defeat to Arlington Lamar. Next: at Arlington Sam Houston, Oct. 8.

Tevin Williams, WR (6-3, 215, 4.4), Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Stillwater, OK)
The Norsemen, 4-1, defeated Cisco (Texas) Junior College 31-13 to remain in a tie for first place with Kilgore, Texas, in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference. Next: vs. Navarro, Oct. 9.

Willie Williams, DT (6-4, 303, 5.0), Hutchinson (Kans.) Community College, Dearing, GA
Hutchinson suffered its second loss of the season when Butler (Kans.) Community College scored three times in the final 6:32 en route to a 34-13 victory. Next: at at Dodge City, Oct. 9.
