Recruiting Update: Kestahn Moore

This update was written by Super Prep's Allen Wallace, the Godfather of football recruiting coverage. It is available on The Insiders recruiting site.

Arlington (Tx) RB Kestahn Moore (5-10, 199, 4.45) now says Oklahoma St (camp) leads slightly over Wisconsin, Texas A&M (camp), Missouri and Iowa. Missouri has not offered.

Kestahn Moore: "I like Oklahoma St because I'm looking to get out of Texas, but they're close enough to where my family could come and see me play," says Moore, from Mansfield Summit. "And they're a good team.

"They are doing good and they're winning a lot lately. Coach (Larry) Porter (RBs) is a cool guy--I talk to him a lot. Two of my coaches right now played football for Oklahoma St. Their names are Wade Dotter and Blake Meyer. The coaches at Oklahoma St send a lot of RBs to the NFL and I want that kind of chance when I graduate from college. They take graduation seriously. They are a running team and I'm an RB.

"I talk with Wisconsin's coach (Jeff) Horton (QBs) every week. He's from Arlington and we get along well. One of my ex-teammates, Jarvis Minton (WR), goes there. He told me a lot about his recruiting experience and how he thinks I'd be a great fit there. They like to get the ball out to the RB and they're a running team.

"I've been talking to Texas A&M since the beginning of this whole thing. Coach (Stan) Eggen and coach (Dennis) Francione have been to my school before for our spring training. I actually talk with coach Egan a lot. They are doing well right now and they have a nice QB in Reggie McNeal. Coach Francione is also a good guy. I know I could get a good job coming out of school from there, and my mom likes the school too.

"I don't exactly have a concrete offer from Missouri, but coach (Dave) Steckel has told me that I'm one of their top guys. He is a cool guy--not that serious and I can really talk with him and have fun with him. I haven't got a chance to see them play really this season. I know that Chase Daniel (QB/Southlake Carroll) recently committed there and we used to play ball together when we were kids. If we got together again it would be fun and we'd do good. "I talk to the coaches at Iowa all the time. They send me a lot of mail and they're a pretty good team. They have been recruiting me hard too. They run the ball well, but I haven't had a chance to see them play either."

Other offers include Arizona, Kansas, Boston College, Duke, Southern Mississippi, BYU, Colorado and Kentucky.

Moore will officially visit Oklahoma St and Wisconsin--no dates.
