Tracking the OSU Commitments

Each week during the football season we will compile the statistics from the week's games for each of the Cowboys' verbal commitments. Here is how the future Cowboys performed the weekend of Nov. 5-6.

T.J. Bell, CB (5-11, 180, 4.38), DeSoto, TX
DeSoto (9-1) defeated rival Duncanville 17-16 to claim a share of the District 7-5A title with Duncanville and Arlington Lamar. All three teams will share the championship and advance to the playoffs. Next: vs. Plano West (9-1) in Class 5A playoffs (Division II, Region I), 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, Texas Stadium.

Brady Bond, OL (6-6, 260, 5.0), Garber, OK
Garber (7-3) defeated Cashion 46-30 to secure a playoff berth in Class B (eight-man). Next: at Alex (8-2), 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12.

Jeremy Broadway, WR (6-0, 185, 4.42), Houston (Washington), TX
Washington (8-2) defeated Waltrip 19-0 for its fourth consecutive victory entering the playoffs. Broadway leads the War Eagles with 19 catches for 449 yards and three touchdowns. Next: vs. Houston Kashmere (7-3) in Class 4A playoffs (Division II, Region III), 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, Delmar.

Gremon Coffman, DB (6-1, 195, 4.4), Duncanville, TX
Duncanville (8-2) lost to DeSoto 17-16 but will still share the District 7-5A title (with DeSoto and Arlington Lamar). All three teams advance to the playoffs. Next: vs. Plano East (5-5) in Class 5A playoffs (Division I, Region I), 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, Texas Stadiium.

Matt Fodge, K-P (6-0, 180, 4.8), Garland, TX
Garland (8-2) wrapped up second place in District 11-5A with a 27-24 victory over Lakeview. Next: vs. Tyler Lee (7-3) in Class 5A playoffs (Division I, Region II), 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, at Tyler's Rose Stadium.

Noah Franklin, OL (6-4, 295, 5.1), Vinita, OK
Vinita (6-4) capped its season with a 38-0 victory over Locust Grove, but did not qualify for a playoff berth.

Chris Hall, OL (6-5, 280, 5.1), Irving, TX
Irving (6-4) secured its third consecutive playoff berth with a 21-3 victory over Nimitz. Next: vs. Southlake Carroll (10-0) in Class 5A playoffs (Division II, Region I), 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, Texas Stadium.

Chris Jones, TE-DE (6-5, 248), Lafayette (Carencro), LA
Carencro (6-3) defeated Comeaux 34-10 to clinch a Class 5A playoff berth. Next: vs. Lafayette, Friday, Nov. 12.

T.J. Minor, DE (6-4, 240, 4.9), Houston (Westside), TX
Westside (10-0) completed an undefeated regular season with a 49-0 victory over Austin. Next: vs. Spring (8-2) in Class 5A playoffs (Division II, Region III), 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, George High School.

\ Brent Nickerson, DB (6-0, 180, 4.5), Irving (MacArthur), TX
Irving MacArthur (10-0) rolled to a 41-28 victory over Euless Trinity to clinch an undefeated season and the District 6-5A title. Next: vs. Denton Ryan (9-1) in Class 5A playoffs (Division II, Region I), 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, Texas Stadium.

Josh Pinaire, DT (6-5, 290, 4.7), Hutchinson (Kans.) Community College, Derby, KS
Pinaire had a good season for the Blue Dragons, recording 58 tackles (31 solo), including 14 for 24 yards in losses, in 10 games this season. He also was credited with three quarterback sacks for minus-10 yards, one pass interceptiion (which he returned 9 yards), a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. The Blue Dragons' season came to an end with a 44-10 loss to Coffeyville in the semifinals of the Jayhawk Conference playoffs on Oct. 31.

Eric Preast, LB, (6-2, 215, 4.6), Sulphur, OK
Sulphur (10-0) remained undefeated with a 41-6 victory over Marietta. Next: vs. Luther (7-3) in a first-round game of the Class 2A playoffs, Friday, Nov. 12.

Andre Sexton, DB (6-1, 190, 4.38), Houston (Cypress Falls), TX
Cypress Falls (6-4) defeated Magnolia 35-7 in the final regular season game to secure a playoff berth. The Eagles finished tied for first in District 17-5A with Jersey Village and Cypress Ridge with identical 6-2 records. Next: vs. Houston Eisenhower (6-4) in Class 5A playoffs (Division I, Region III), 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, Klein Memorial Stadium.

Kevin White, RB (6-3, 208, 4.45), DeSoto, TX
DeSoto (9-1) defeated rival Duncanville 17-16 to claim a share of the District 7-5A title with Duncanville and Arlington Lamar. Tevin Williams, WR (6-3, 215, 4.4), Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Stillwater, OK)
Williams' season came to an end with the Norsemen's 21-14 loss to Tyler (Texas) on Oct. 30. Williams finished the season with 13 catches for 137 yards and one touchdown.

Willie Williams, DT (6-3, 305, 5.0), Hutchinson (Kans.) Community College, Dearing, GA
Williams recorded 30 tackles (16 solo), including five for 18 yards in losses, in 10 games this season. In addition, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman was credited with one quarterback sack for minus-14 yards. The Blue Dragons finished the season 6-4 after falling to No. 6 Coffeyville 44-10 in the semifinals of the Jayhawk Conference playoffs on Oct. 31.

Marlin Winn, OT (6-6, 280), Waxahachie, TX
Waxahachie (7-2) rolls into the playoffs on a seven-game winning streak after defeating Mansfield Timberview 54-7. Next: vs. Killeen (8-2) in Class 4A playoffs (Division I, Region II), 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, Waco ISD Stadium.
