Recruiting: Lorenzo Jones

McKinney's Lorenzo Jones, who we projected before his senior season would become a DT, found a home at that spot this year for the McKinney D.

His senior stats for the season read like this: 91 tackles, 16 TFLs, 7 sacks, 14-17 hurries. So who's he looking at? And which teams are penciled in to grab official visits?

"Right now, my top five teams are Texas, OU, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State," Jones told

Official Visit Agenda: "I'm taking an official visit to Iowa State December 3rd and one to Oklahoma December the 10th."

That leaves three remaining official visit slots. Asked if those three would go to Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State, Jones said he wasn't sure yet. In fact, Jones would only say that he'll "probably visit each one of those three."

Essentially, he's leaving the door open for possibly someone like "Arizona" also.

It'll be interesting to see who locks down official visit slots over the next couple of weeks now that his senior season is wrapped up. At this time, Jones prefers not to name any guaranteed officials, save the scheduled trips to Norman and Ames.

Let's meet the top five coaches responsible for landing Jones:
Texas: WR Coach Bobby Kennedy
OU: RB Coach Cale Gundy
Iowa State: RB Coach Tony Alford
Texas A&M: DL Coach Stan Eggen
Oklahoma State: DL Coach Carey Bailey
