Cowboy Injury Report

Vernand Morency didn't practice hardly at all last week, but he is good to go. The time out of practice was just to give his body (knee and shoulder, in particular) time to rest. As for the other injuries, defensive end Jerry Don Bray (knee), strong safety Vernon Grant (knee), cornerback Robert Jones (mild concussion), and cornerback Daniel McLemore (various) should be ready to go by Saturday.

The really good news is that offensive left guard David Koenig got in more practice last week than he has since injuring his back before the Iowa State game. Koenig is looking good to play, possibly start at Texas Tech.

The test for All-Big 12 cornerback Darrent Williams will be in practice this week. Last week he ran and conditioned, but has yet to test the arm he broke in the Iowa State game. Williams has had two additional weeks to heal since he tried to play in the Texas game, and left after making one tackle on the fourth play in the contest.
