Recruiting: Kestahn Moore

This is a report filed by Josh Clark of

Kestahn Moore, a four star running back on, will be making his second official visit to the University of Iowa this weekend.

"I spoke to Coach (Ron) Aiken on Sunday evening when I returned from Wisconsin to set it up," said Moore. "Then, Coach (Carl) Jackson stopped by my high school today. I told him I was looking for a place to feel comfortable where I would mix in well with the players, and he told me I'd find that at Iowa."

Jackson also went over his previous coaching accolades.

"He just told me he coached running backs with the 49ers for a while, and he also was the running back coach for Ricky Williams at Texas," continued Moore.

Another Big Ten program received the chance to impress him this past weekend as Moore made an official visit to Wisconsin.

"I really felt at home there, and I clicked well with the team," added Moore, who will also officially visit Arizona State (1/7) and Oklahoma State (1/14). "I like their coaching staff a lot, and you know they run the football."

Moore also noted he received high remarks from his former teammate, Jarvis Minton, a current wide receiver for the Badgers, concerning the University of Wisconsin.

Coach Porter from Oklahoma State was also in his home last evening.

"He told me they want to land both R.J. Jackson and me, but at worst wanted to make sure they got one of us. Everyone keeps saying I'm guaranteed to be a Cowboy, but that isn't true as I'm going into these visits with an open mind. I'm also going to visit Arizona State, and they've been making a good impression on me," stated Moore.

Moore informed that Missouri coaches would be in his household tomorrow evening, but he didn't plan to visit the Tigers. He stated his Oklahoma State visit will be his last, and he has no desire to make a fifth official visit.

"Texas A&M is also still in the picture, but I don't plan to take an official visit there. I'll probably go down and watch one of their bowl practices, though."
