Recruiting: Ekom Udofia

Ekom Udofia has taken four of his five official visits, but he might today be further from making his college decision than he has been in several weeks.

The five-star defensive tackle from Scottsdale, Ariz., is overwhelmed with processing new information from his top three favorite schools:

* He just 10 days ago visited Miami (FL).
* Stanford just hired a new head coach and may or may not retain some defensive assistants.
* USC just lost defensive line coach Ed Orgeron, who today became the head coach at Ole Miss.

"Everything is so crazy now that I don't know what to think," a frustrated Udofia offers.

The 6-1 300-pound pass rusher is a good sport and did compose a brief summary of what he thinks today of the three schools:

"Well, Miami has the most stability; Stanford is still a good option though because I think [defensive line coach Dave] Tipton will be back; but SC just lost the coach who always told me that he'd be there all four of my years," he shares. "In summary, I'm not really sure."

Udofia has visited the above three schools plus Oklahoma State to date. He will take his fifth and final official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. Udofia is currently ranked the #7 defensive tackle in the nation by He is still planning on announcing his college decision in January.
