Another "enterprise" recruit for the new Oklahoma State coaching staff under Mike Gundy is Denton (Texas) Ryan H.S. safety Ishie Oduegwa. Reading the bio on the 5-11, 190-pounder in The Dallas Morning News All Area Team is impressive. Oduegwu made 167 total tackles this season with 20 tackles for losses, four sacks and five interceptions. Oduegwa has been committed to Texas Tech since a late summer visit, but spoke with Gundy and new assistant Doug Meacham last week and set up the visit.
"I'm committed to Texas Tech, and I like it a lot," said Oduegwa. "I like the coaching staff and the players. I got a chance to see their game with TCU. I just want to check out some other schools. I talked with coach Gundy and coach Meacham and I decided I wanted to see what they have at OSU. I'm also going to check out LSU."
Oduegwa says he likes recruiting even though at times it is stressful. He'll use the trips to compare with Texas Tech.
