Gundy Rounds Out Staff With Hiring of Bradford

Mike Gundy's first staff at Oklahoma State is officially in place following the hiring of former Brigham Young assistant coch Todd Bradford as the Cowboys linebacker coach.

Bradford spent the past two seasons at Brigham Young after previous stops at Middle Tennessee State (secondary coach and kickoff cover coach, 2002), Wisconsin (defensive backs coach, 2000-01), Louisiana Tech (defensive coordinator and defensive assistant, 1997-2000), Eastern Michigan (1995-97), Lehigh (defensive coordinator, 1994), New Hampshire (recruiting coordinator and assistant coach, 1988-93), and Southern Utah (1987).

Bradford coached former Wisconsin standout Jamar Fletcher who led the Big Ten in interceptions, won the Jim Thorpe Award (given to the nation's top defensive back), and was a first-round draft choice by the Miami Dolphins in 2001. Also, the Eastern Michigan defense set 43 school records while he was a member of that coaching staff.

A native of Salt Lake City, he played on the 1984 Ricks Junior College team that played for the national championship in the Valley of the Sun Bowl. He then transferred to Southern Utah where his team went 8-3 his senior season.
