Recruiting: Andrew Lewis Joins Cowboys

The Cowboys apparently weren't through after the visitors left campus Suday. Oklahoma State called to offer Joplin, Mo., offensive line prospect Andrew Lewis on Sunday night, and the 6-foot-5, 266-pound Lewis accepted the Cowboys' offer. Lewis had been a favorite of former OSU offensive line coach Chuck Moller, and new offensive line coach Joe Wickline must have agreed with his assessment.

"They called me tonight and I said I wanted to go to Oklahoma State," said Lewis. "I really enjoyed my visit over the weekend and I love the people and the campus and really felt comfortable there."

Lewis played both center and defensive end in high school at Joplin High School earning all-conference and all-district honors at both positions. He was also All-State at the center position.

Lewis projects as a center or, perhaps, and offensive tackle in the future. He was also recruited by North Texas and Southwest Missouri State.

"Those were the two schools that offered," added Lewis. "I'm really excited about going to Oklahoma State."
