Recruiting: Cowboys Win Winn

We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so. Waxahachie, Texas, offensive lineman Marlon Winn confirmed that he is going to sign with Oklahoma State on Wednesday during an interview Monday night with The Oklahoman's John Helsley.

Winn was the subject of different and differing reports throughout the day, originating from various web sources and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal newspaper. Helsley spoke with Winn and asked him if he knew what he was going to do.

"It's Oklahoma State," said Winn over the phone. "I let them (Texas Tech) play with my head a little bit, but that's not the best offense for me. The best offense for me to play in is the one at Oklahoma State."

Winn, a 6-6, 280-pounder, is very athletic and really blocks well on the run on traps and pull outs. The new offense at Oklahoma State has a series of tackle trap plays that will fit Winn's abilities nicely, according to Winn.

When asked after his conversation with Winn, Helsely said he felt Winn was on the up and up on his decision.
