Future Cowboys: High School Playoffs (March 4)

Following the OSU basketball signees during their respective high school playoffs. Gerald Green plays for Gulf Shores Academy in Houston (a private, charter school) and the school is not involved in any postseason play.

Kenneth Cooper (6-10, Richmond H.S., Monroe, La.)
Cooper, with 17 points and 15 rebounds, had a huge night for second-ranked Class 3A Richwood in a 74-54 quarterfinal victory over Jennings on Friday night. The Rams (33-8) advance to their first state tournament since 1983 with the victory.

Byron Eaton (5-10, Lincoln H.S., Dallas, Texas)
Eaton scored 17 points, including a jumper from the free throw line to give Lincoln a 51-50 lead in the final minute of play, but it wouldn't be enough as Dallas South Oak Cliff defeated Lincoln 56-53 on Friday night in a Class 4A Region II semifinal played before a crowd of nearly 5,900 at SMU's Moody Coliseum. Lincoln finishes 26-7 and misses out on returning to the state tournament for the fourth time in five years.

Roderick Flemings (6-6, DeSoto H.S., DeSoto, Texas)
Flemings led the state's top-ranked Class 5A team with 20 points, including three alley oop dunks, as DeSoto breezed to an easy 66-43 victory over El Paso Montwood. DeSoto (35-3) has been holding its playoff opponents to 43.5 points per game, and held Montwood to just five points in the fourth quarter.

Terrel Harris (6-4, South Garland H.S., Garland, Texas)
The season came to an end Tuesday night for Harris and his teammates with a 74-62 loss to Dallas Carter in a Class 5A Region II quarterfinal game.
