Texas Tech is 20-10 on the year after defeating Angelo State, 11-6, on Wednesday. The Red Raiders dropped two of three to Missouri in Columbia over the weekend and stand in eighth place in the conference with a 3-5 mark. Outfielder Cody Fuller leads the team with a .408 batting average in 29 games overall, while also batting a team best .346 in eight league games. Shortstop Cameron Blair leads the team with eight homers and 33 RBIs as Tech is hitting .317 as a team with 21 homers and 235 runs scored on the year. Righthanders Adam Lawford (2-3, 4.82 ERA) and Brian Wyatt (3-3, 2.86 ERA) will be in the rotation for the Red Raiders this weekend, while Sunday's starter is to be determined.

Carr's Five Homer Day Puts Him Into National Lead
Adam Carr's five homer day against Arkansas-Pine Bluff catapulted him into the national lead in homers entering the weekend. Carr has 15 homers, two more than Arizona State's Jeff Larish and LSU's Ryan Patterson. The Felton, Calif., product's homer total is the most by a Cowboy since Paul Powell hit 15 in 2002. Carr is currently hitting .381 with a Big 12 best 59 RBIs entering the weekend. He also leads the conference in hits (53) and total bases (114) and is second in slugging percentage (.820) and triples (4).
