Oklahoma State took advantage of two Texas errors in the first inning to plate two runs and take a 2-0 lead.

The advantage was short-lived as the Longhorns took advantage of a fielding and throwing error by Adam Carr to score two unearned runs to tie the game.

Shortstop Chris Gutierrez then hit a solo homer to right to give the Cowboys the lead in the bottom of the second.

The Longhorns rallied again in the third when shortstop Seth Johnston hit a solo homer into a stiff wind to left field to tie the game at 3-3. Taylor Teagarden then walked and moved to second on a balk by Cowley. A base hit by Carson Kainer advanced him to third and he then scored on a sacrifice fly RBI by Will Crouch.

Seth Johnston led UT with two hits, while Rusty Ryal and Chris Gutierrez each had two hits to lead the Cowboys.
