Player Analysis: Ryan McBean

Executive Editor Robert Allen provides analysis in the upcoming issue of Go Pokes Magazine of every OSU football player as they enter summer workouts. Robert tells who the coaches are high on and what players will be expected to make contributions in the fall. Throughout the summer we will be running Robert's analysis on Cowboy players.

96, Ryan McBean, Jr.,
6-5, 285, Euless (Trinity), TX/Hinds C.C., MS
McBean was as good as, if not better, than advertised coming in midterm from junior college. He's a little light for playing inside, but is strong, very quick, and plays with an attitude and purpose. He flat out made plays all spring and made the players around him better. A huge positive is his enthusiasm for the game as he seems to come to every practice eager to get after it. He is strong enough to stay in there on run defense and his quickness and desire make him a very effective pass rusher. He needs a good summer and must stay healthy to make the Cowboys better on the defensive line next fall.
