99, Lawrence Pinson, LB
Sr., 6-1, 245, Jenks, OK
The Cowboys' linebackers felt rejuvenated during the spring and no player was a better example of this than Pinson. Going back to a 4-3 scheme for a base defense seemed to please Pinson, who began making plays in the spring from the first day in pads and kept making them until a sprained ankle cut his spring short in the final week. He is playing the boundary linebacker in the scheme that gives him the short side of the field to work, and it was a smart idea. He is a smart player that reads well despite not being the fastest outside linebacker around. He should have a great senior season.
