Player Analysis: Charlie Johnson

Robert Allen provides analysis in the Summer issue of Go Pokes Magazine of every OSU football player as they enter summer workouts. Throughout the summer we will be running Robert's analysis on Cowboy players.

71, Charlie Johnson, Sr., T
6-4, 290, Sherman, TX
The former coaching staff had threatened often to move Johnson from tight end to tackle, and the new staff finally did. The best blocker on the offense for the past several seasons, Johnson is a natural at tackle. He has great feet, moves really well and can block on the run getting to the edge better than any OSU tackle in recent memory. He still is working on his pass protection, but is better than most in a short time. The quarterbacks and running backs love him, and after a year of displaying how good he is at tackle, so will the NFL.
