Cowboy Road Show: Ponca City

The practice plan for Monday is tentatively scheduled for Ponca City High School's stadium as OSU officials attempt to secure transportation. The Cowboys are hoping to practice at midday in Ponca City. Ponca City has an astroplay surface in their stadium.

The Cowboys lost a practice on Friday and a scheduled scrimmage on Saturday to the rain that has been consistent in Oklahoma over the past 72 hours. With the new synthetic surface in Boone Pickens Stadium being installed, and the only option being the newly renovated natural grass practice field, the Cowboys were out of options for the weekend. Head coach Mike Gundy does not want to take a chance on tearing up the practice fields.

Sunday was a scheduled day off for the team with Camp Cowboy activities on Sunday evening. The plan is to get a practice in sometime on Monday in Ponca City. With favorable weather forecast for the rest of the week Gundy is hoping the Cowboys get back into their regular routine and schedule. The only variable right now is securing the transportation.
