How The Future Cowboys Fared - Week 4

Irving MacArthur (Irving, Texas)
MacArthur fell behind 20-0 but the defense – behind the play of linebackers Bereuter and Gent – then shut out Garland Lakeview the rest of the way en route to a 27-20 come-from-behind victory to improve to 3-0 on the season. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Hurst L.D. Bell.

DeMARCUS CONNOR, WR (6-2, 185)
Westfield High (Houston, Texas)
Connor had three catches for 30 yards as Westfield remained undefeated (3-0) with a 33-0 rout of Memorial on Friday night. Westfield quarerback Pierre Beasley only attempted 10 passes in the game, completing six – three to Connor. Next: Thursday, Sept. 22, at Baytown Lee.

DERON FONTENOT, S (5-8, 185)
South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, Texas)
The South Grand Prairie defense only allowed 196 yards of total offense to defeat South Garland 24-10 on Friday night. South Grand Prairie is now 3-0 entering district play. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Irving Nimitz.

Klein Collins (Klein, Texas)
Goodson showed no signs of the ankle injury which sidelined him for the first two games of the season as the standout running back led Klein Collins to a 35-15 victory over Magnolia on Friday night. Goodson rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries. Next: Thursday, Sept. 22, vs. The Woodlands.

Carter High (Dallas, Texas)
Carter, ranked No. 3 in The Dallas Morning News' Class 5A area rankings, got revenge for last year's loss to Garland – the school's only nondistrict loss in four years – by capturing a 21-14 victory on Friday night. Carter improved to 4-0 with the win. Next: Friday, Sept. 30, at Bryan Adams.

SHANE JARKA, DE (6-3, 230)
Fort Bend Austin (Fort Bend, Texas)
Fort Bend Austin's defense forced six turnovers – four interceptions and two fumbles – as the Bulldogs defeated Hightower 24-7 on Friday night. Fort Bend Austin's Jerry Hughes rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, vs. Elkins.

Jersey Village (Houston, Texas)
Jersey Village, behind the 311-yard rushing performance of Anthony Bibbs, won for the first time this season, defeating Cyrpess Spring 37-13 on Thursday night. Bibbs had touchdown runs of 94 and 95 yards. Next: Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cypress Ridge.

TRENT PERKINS, OL (6-4, 285)
Alice High (Alice, Texas)
Perkins and his Alice teammates had the week off to prepare for next week's district opener. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Tuloso-Midway.

JACOB SECREST, OL (6-4, 280)
Stillwater High (Stillwater, Okla.)
Secrest and his offensive line teammates again dominated the line of scrimmage as the Pioneers rushed for four touchdowns in a 42-7 victory over Bartlesville on Friday night. Next: Friday, Sept.. 23, at Oklahoma City Northwest Classen.

North Mesquite (Mesquite, Texas)
Thompson ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns as North Mesquite (2-2) defeated Grand Prairie 35-3 on Friday night. Thompson raced 52 yards on the game's first play to give North Mesquite a 7-0 lead. He also scored on TD runs of 1 and 46 yards. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Tyler John Tyler.

Madison High (Houston, Texas)
Williams and his Madison teammates forced three turnovers early in the second half and the Marlins turned them into 19 points, turning a close game into a rout as Madison (3-0) defeated Houston Yates 56-27 on Saturday night. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Chavez.

Bryan High (Byran, Texas)
Woods and his Bryan teammates had a bye week to prepare for the opening of district play next Friday. Next: Friday, Sept. 23, at Belton.
