Recruiting: Oglesby Says All Good On His Visit

Big Wesley Oglesby will test his talents this Friday against a sizeable challenge in Houston St. Pius 6-9, 300-pound offensive tackle Ian Symonette. This past weekend, with an open week for Oglesby and his unbeaten teammates at Arlington Grace Prep, he made his first official recruiting visit by traveling to Oklahoma State for the Cowboys 20-10 win over Arkansas State.

"It was very good," Oglesby said of the visit. "I had a lot of fun and I got a chance to see the coaches in action. The most important thing is that I got to talk to a lot of the players about what it was like to play there, and for the coaches there. The players said nothing but good things about playing at OSU."

Oglesby is a 6-6, 230-pound defensive end with 4.7 speed that could wind up at defensive end or see his frame grow in a college weight room to defensive tackle size. It just depends on how his body matures and develops. Either way he is a talented player.

He continued to say that besides OSU the main schools for him are Duke, Arizona and nearby TCU. He was also offered last week by Texas Tech, but he added that he hasn't talked much with the Red Raiders. Oglesby said he has not set up any other official visits. OSU could be the front runner as he has said that he might possbily make a decision before the end of the football season.
