Recruiting: Perrish Cox Says Nothing's Changed

Waco University cornerback Perrish Cox said not much has changed for him as he was watching the Chargers-Giants game on Sunday night. Cox stopped in mid-conversation to admire a big hit and an interception that the Chargers used to up their lead. Defensive backs always like to admire each other's work.

Cox is disappointed that he and his Waco University teammates can't get over the hump as they lost another tough game on Friday to another top-10 ranked team in Corsicana 17-9.

"We are close, but we can't get over the hump," said Cox, who individually is having a big season.

This week University has Ennis in district play.

As for recruiting Cox said he has a visit set up with Oklahoma State in December, probably Dec. 8. He has yet to set up visits with his other two favorites in OU and LSU. Those are still the three schools that he mentions.

"I loved it. It was pretty tight," Cox said Cox of the billboard that is located near Waco Univsersity that features a picture of OSU head coach Mike Gundy and has the words "Mike Gundy wants you" at OSU. The billboard, of course, is designed to attract all students, but could have been strategically placed.

Cox said he is looking for some wins and a run to the playoffs and recruiting is definitely secondary to him right now.
