How The Future Cowboys Fared - Week 5 1/2

Throughout the high school football season we'll be following the 14 players who have verbally committed to sign with Oklahoma State next February. Here is the result from Monday night's game involving Artrell Woods.

Bryan High (Byran, Texas)
The explosive Woods scored a pair of touchdowns as Bryan won its District 13-5A opener 28-18 over Belton on Monday night. The game was originally scheduled to be played last Friday night but was postponed three days because of Hurricane Rita. Woods gave the Vikings a 14-10 halftime lead on a 95-yard kickoff return late in the first half. Two Belton players had the angle on Woods near midfield, but he used his speed to split them and neither got a hand on him. Woods also broke off a 52-yard touchdown run on a third-and-one play on Bryan's first possession of the second half to give the Vikings a 21-10 lead. Next: Saturday, Oct. 1, vs. Copperas Cove.
