Recruiting: Adrian Reese Is Open

Adrian Reese, the Longview, Texas tight end, doesn't get the ball that much, but the 6-6, 210-pounder is usually open as he was for a 56-yard touchdown catch last Friday in the Lobos one-point win on the road at Rockwall. Reese has 4.7 speed and while he looks like a big wide receiver, he should fill out quite nicely into a college tight end.

After the win last Friday, Reese and his Lobo teammates have a little time to regroup and get ready for the final push in aiming for an unbeaten season. The Lobos are open this week but will carry their 8-0 mark into their two final regular season games with North Mesquite and Tyler John Tyler before heading into the playoffs.

Reese, who visited Oklahoma State back in September and emphasized that he enjoyed his visit, is not going to take any more recruiting trips until after the season.

"I'm going to wait until after the season to take anymore trips," said Reese. "The visit to Oklahoma State was great, but I want to put all my effort into going unbeaten and taking the season all the way. I still enjoy recruiting. I'm hearing the most from Oklahoma State but also from Texas Tech, Baylor and TCU. I'm kind of open right now and haven't picked out any favorite schools or narrowed it down."

Reese is one of the most unsung prospects in Texas and his play is proving that on a weekly basis. Longview is loaded, but he has scored a touchdown or set one up in the last four Longview victories.
