Recruiting: Hamilton Liked What He Saw

This may be the year of commitments and visits. We know there are commitments and visits every year in recruiting, but we're talking prospects making a commitment and then making visits. Prospects all across the country are doing it and it appears that Dallas Carter defensive end Adrian Hamilton may be another.

"It was great, except for the loss," Hamilton said of his unoffocial trip to Oklahoma State last Saturday for the Cowboys game with second-ranked Texas. "Being down on the field watching them warm up, I just wanted to go out there and play myself. They give their team a nice ovation. I really liked being on the field (before the game)."

Hamilton, who is 6-3, 215 pounds with 4.6 speed, has been dominating opponents for 9-0 Dallas Carter. He and his Carter Cowboy teammates finish the regular season with Skyline this Friday. Hamilton committed to OSU this summer, but said he may take visits to some other schools after his season is complete in the playoffs.

"Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Baylor are schools that I may visit besides Oklahoma State," Hamilton said. "I'm just taking trips to take trips. It varies too. I may skip Texas or Oklahoma or both. It just depends, but I'm firm on my commitment to Oklahoma State."

Hamilton is just one of several Oklahoma State commitments who has said he's firm but wants to take some other visits so to not miss out on the recruiting process. Oklahoma State is not alone as there are other schools hearing the same thing from their commitments, In fact, Oklahoma State will have visitors that have verbally committed to other schools. It will make things more than a little confusing all the way to signing day in February.
